| Dear readers,
After nearly two decades with Vanguard and almost as many years editing Smart Investing, it's time to hand over the reins as I embark on a new chapter we often write about in this publication: Life after full-time work.
It's been a privilege connecting with investors through Smart Investing. The purpose of this newsletter has always been to educate, as an informed investor is a confident investor who is less likely to be blown off course. I hope our weekly articles have been interesting, timely, and most importantly, have offered investors anchor and reassurance when markets have felt particularly choppy.
While I'm stepping down from editor, I'm looking forward to contributing regular columns next year and keeping in touch with this community of smart investors. For now, I'll leave you with our last three articles for 2022: a review of the last 20 years in investing and lessons learnt, a wrap-up of how global markets have performed this eventful year, and what topics Smart Investing readers are always most curious about.
Signing off for now, | |
